What is an 'electric' curtain track?
A 'smart' or electric curtain track is one of the revolutionary newcomers in the window decoration world. Automatically moving curtains add a magical touch to your living room or bedroom. Not for nothing are automatic curtain tracks becoming increasingly popular. An automatic curtain track is equipped with a wireless motor. It can be neatly hidden behind the curtain, so it cannot be seen and does not spoil the look of your curtain. Connecting your curtain track to your smart home opens up a world of control options.

Control remotely
It is still possible to open and close your curtains by hand. However, you no longer have to drag your curtains to do this, because with a small tug on the curtain, your curtain track recognises what it should do. You can also connect your curtain track to your smartphone and smart home, allowing you to control your curtains remotely. Already in bed, but forgot to close the curtains in the living room? No worries, use your smartphone to control your curtain track from your bed!
Use your voice
Do you have a smart home hub with a smart assistant? Then you can use your voice to control your curtains in addition to control via your phone. The most popular smart home platforms do have a smart assistant. Think of Apple's Siri and Amazon's Alexa. With voice commands, you can easily open and close your curtain track. Have you added your curtain track to scenes and automations with other devices in your home? Then your curtain track will perform its tasks based on the set trigger/command.
A middle closure or a single curtain?
Smartblinds' curtain track can be configured in 2 different ways. Namely, you have the choice of having your 2 separate curtain fabrics close in the middle, or having a single curtain close from left to right, or vice versa. Which choice you make in this is entirely up to you. If you already have curtains that you would like to have fitted with a smart curtain track, it is obviously useful to choose the type of track with closure that you have had before.
Charging the battery of your curtain track
A battery naturally needs to be recharged. Fortunately, this only needs to be done once in a while. You will only need to recharge your curtain track battery 2 to 4 times a year, depending on the length of your rail and the weight of your curtains. Our curtain rail has enough pull to automatically operate heavy curtain fabrics as well. Recharging is done via an included USB-C cable. The handy thing about this curtain track battery is that you can disconnect the battery from the track, so you don't necessarily have to charge it at the rail, but can also bring it to the mains! Within 8 hours, your curtain track will be ready again to provide you with a magical and luxurious experience every day.
How do you measure the curtain track?
Measuring your curtain track is very easy. When fitting in the window, simply measure the width of the window. We will ensure that your track fits perfectly in the window with minimal reduction. Do you want to mount a curtain track outside the window? Then measure the window width again, but add the desired overlap. In this case, we do not do any reduction, so you will get exactly the composed product delivered to your home.
