Connect Smartblinds directly with Google Home
Looking for smart window blinds that you can pair directly with Google Home? Then choose Smartblinds. At Smartblinds, you have a choice of 2 different motors. If you choose the advanced Eve Motionblinds Matter motor, you can connect your Smartblinds directly to Google's smart home platform. We explain how easy this is.
Smartblinds and Google Home
Smartblinds' smart window coverings can be connected to several platforms. One of these platforms is Google Home, with its smart Google Assistant. Pairing with Google Home does not require a bridge*. All you need is a smart hub from Google. This smart hub acts as the central point of your smart home, from where you can control your Smartblinds.
*A bridge is still required to link with an electric curtain rail.
These smart hubs connect Smartblinds directly to Google Home
To connect your Smartblinds directly to Google Home, you need a Google smart hub that can act as a Thread border router. That is, your Google smart hub creates a Thread network on which your Smartblinds can communicate with each other, without connecting to Wi-Fi. There are a number of hubs from Google, which serve as suitable smart hubs:

Have you got the right Google smart hub and ordered your Smartblinds? Then you can pair them very easily, giving you real Google blinds! Open the Google Home app, add an accessory and scan the QR code on the cord of your Smartblind. Follow the steps in the app and in no time you will have configured your Smartblinds into a real Google blind!

The possibilities of a Google Home blind
When you turn your Smartblinds into blinds with Google Home support, you will have multiple control options for your Smartblinds. Besides the pull control and smart control via smartphone, it will also be possible to control your automated Google Home blinds by voice via Google Home. Just give your Google Assistant on your smart speaker a simple instruction like "Hey Google, close my blind" and your Google Home blind will do what you told it to do. Super convenient and easy!
